Haven’t seen this item anywhere else. It’s a very handy “stapler” which doesn’t use staples. It does some sort of fancy fold-overs using a roughly staple-sized area (same length, a bit wider) on your paper. Easily reversible – just pull them apart. No risk of broken fingernails or ballpoint marks when you can’t find a letter opener.Downside – (Mostly My Fault): I received the first unit as a gift from one of my medical students, who tired of hearing me complain with the same tired joke of Staples staples not stapling. Worked for about a year. The instruction do mention in the fine print, “up to 3-5 pages;” 6 or 7 will permanently trash the unit. I’m not sure exactly how it works, but even after you fish out all the little paper shreds from the mortally-wounded stapler, it won’t work. So, if you never staple more than 5 pages, or are smarter than me, and won’t, it’s a great unit. I’m on my 4th….
