I’ve been using the HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 in my home office ever since I bought a used one back in 2020. It works pretty well for my needs, but the biggest drawback is the cost of the ink cartridges. Over the years, the cartridge prices have just kept going up. The last time I checked, the HP color ink cartridge 4-pack was over $130 at Staples and Office Depot. That’s just way too much for me, especially for home use where I need to be mindful of expenses. So, I decided to look around for a cheaper alternative and stumbled upon another cartridge pack. I was hesitant to try third-party ink because I’ve read about potential issues like clogging or leaking. But considering the significant cost difference, I decided to give it a shot. As soon as it arrived, I tested the cartridge pack. The installation was straightforward, with no error messages. I can’t see any difference between these and the originals in terms of print quality. The colors don’t smear or fade. Text documents come out clear, without any noticeable bleeding. I am satisfied with my decision so far, and it saves me a lot.
